Energy XXI (Bermuda) Limited ("Energy XXI" or "the Company")

Director's Shareholding, Treasury Shares and Total Voting Rights

Energy XXI announces that it has issued 3,281 common shares of US$0.005 each ("Shares") as a result of the vesting of employee restricted stock units (RSUs). The Company will make application for the 3,281 Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to become effective on 21 December 2010.

Following the Share issues, the Company has a total of 74,181,107 Shares in issue, excluding 653 treasury shares. The total number of voting rights in the Company is therefore 74,181,107.

Energy XXI also notifies that John D. Schiller, Jr. has entered into an agreement with the Energy XXI Services, LLC Employee Stock Purchase Plan ("the Plan") to purchase new shares in the Company. The Plan covers the period 1 January 2011 through 30 June 2011 and following a regular deduction from salary, allows employees to purchase new common stock at a 15 percent discount from the lower of the common stock closing price on the first or last day of the period. Mr. Schiller has entered into the plan up to $21,250 and can withdraw from the Plan at any time.
