Crown Place VCT PLC announces that on 12 July 2006 it purchased, to be held in
treasury, 101,175 Ordinary 10p Shares (representing 0.13% of the issued Share
Capital), at a price of 39p per Ordinary Share.

Following the purchase of the 101,175 Ordinary Shares, the total number of
treasury shares held by the Company will be 6,165,667. The issued share capital
of the Company, less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in Treasury, will
be 79,934,206 Ordinary 10p Shares.
