                   Benfield Announces Resignation of Director



Benfield Group Limited ("Benfield" or the "Company"), the world's leading

accordance with its Bye-laws Mr Andrew MacDonald will retire from the Board by
rotation at the AGM of the Company to be held on 26 April 2005 and will not be
standing for re-election at that meeting.
