DOVER, Del., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Two former members
of the senior leadership of TransPerfect's technology team will
lead Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware's Board of Directors.
Former Senior Vice President of Technology Sales, Matt Hauser, a ten-year veteran of TransPerfect,
and former President of TransPerfect's translation technology
OneLink, Joe Kuefler, will join the
CPBD Board of Directors and serve as members of the Executive
Committee.
Both former employees resigned in the last month due to
frustrations with the company's management after Delaware courts ordered the forced sale of the
company and appointed a Custodian to oversee the process. Hauser
and Kuefler hope to lead the advocacy group's efforts to highlight
the hardships TransPerfect employees have endured throughout the
court-ordered sale.
"Leaving TransPerfect was an incredibly hard decision, but I
could no longer be a part of a company that disregarded its
employees' long history of dedication," said Matt Hauser. "I am joining the Executive
Committee with the hope of shedding light on this flawed process so
that legislators can get involved to both stop the forced sale of
TransPerfect and end the possibility of a similar fate being
imposed on other companies incorporated in Delaware."
As Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware plans to continue to
pressure legislators to review the TransPerfect sale process, the
group will also extend its advocacy efforts across the region.
"There are 4,000 American jobs on the line, and Delaware residents have overwhelmingly spoken
out for their security," said CPBD President Miranda Wessinger. "We will use the momentum in
Delaware and continue to broadcast
the flawed decision by the Delaware courts until we save these jobs. We
will not stop, and we are only getting stronger with our two new
additions."
Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware is a group made up of more
than 2,200 members including employees of the global translation
services company TransPerfect, as well as concerned Delaware residents, business executives and
others. They formed in April of 2016 to focus on raising awareness
with Delaware residents, elected
officials, and other stakeholders about the issue.
