(Nasdaq: IAIA; TSX: IAI.A) announced today that its seating business and four facilities that supply the Chrysler Group have been awarded Gold Awards for outstanding performance during calendar year 2003. The achievement places Intier and its engineering and manufacturing facilities among the highest rated suppliers to the Chrysler Group. In presenting the Gold Awards, Director of Chrysler Group Purchasing Alexander Seitz said, "Intier Automotive was selected to receive these Chrysler Group Gold Awards based on their exemplary performance. It is recognition granted only to an elite group of automotive suppliers who pass the rating levels established as criteria. Performance is based on the External Balanced Scorecard (EBSC), and uses value drivers such as cost, quality, supply and technology." The Gold Award signifies the distinction of "global top supplier" within a competitive set.
