Azteca Gold Corp. (the "Company" or "Azteca") (TSX VENTURE:AZG) previously
announced, by press release dated October 6, 2010, an extensive assay program
for the Company's 100 percent-owned Two Mile project in the Silver Valley,
Idaho. Azteca's Qualified Person, Dick Nanna, has determined that prior to the
release of further assay results on the Two Mile project, the Company will
undertake a comprehensive check assay program. Azteca is in the process of
securing funding for the check assay program. Once funding is obtained, the
Company will provide an estimated timeframe for completion of the check assay
program.
