Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Friday that it has
reached its third settlement agreement with an U.S. attorney
general over price-fixing claims.
The Israeli pharmaceutical company has denied the claims.
Teva will pay $3.3 million to the state of Georgia. The state
will dismiss all claims against the company and its affiliates once
the transaction has been made, Teva said.
The company also agreed to keep focusing on its antitrust
training and compliance efforts throughout the U.S., Teva said.
Teva previously signed settlement agreements with Mississippi
and Louisiana, while continuing to deny the allegations.
"Teva is pleased to put these claims behind us, and we believe
the modest settlement amount--in each of the three settlements to
date--reflects our position on the allegations against us, which we
continue to deny," it said.
