In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company would like to notify the market that at close of business on 31 October 2013:

   --      the Company's capital consisted of 655,379,734 issued Ordinary shares of 12.5p each; and 
   --      the Company held 5,924 Ordinary shares in Treasury. 

Therefore, the total number of current voting rights in the Company was 655,373,810.

The above figure (655,373,810 Ordinary shares) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
