Ian good points - but Google has failed -- here is just some: Google+, Google Buzz, Google Daydream, Google Cardboard, Google Health, Google Glass, Google Cloud Print, Google Station, Google Wave. so - yes - Google is a significant player in Quantum - but they do not always succeed in everything.
