RC offered a fixed number of shares. NXDT (presumably) offered a fixed $ value (the offer stated $72 million or something like that, not 0.5 shares). So the more NXDT dropped, the more shares you would have received.

Not gonna lie, I am pretty impressed with both of the releases today. Great to be filled in (finally) on so many previously unanswered questions. I just hope the market/retail  catches on. But nonetheless, props to Melvin for now. Let's hope we see some strong follow thru.

A bi product of takeover interest is often a sudden move up on no material news as the potential acquirer or its minions seek to reap some cheap shares from weak hands. Beware the Ides of March but enjoy the parades this weekend.
