Canadian Spirit Resources Inc. ("CSRI" or the "Corporation") (TSX
VENTURE:SPI)(OTCBB:CSPUF) is pleased to announce the appointment of J.R. Richard
Couillard as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation effective
immediately. On September 1, 2014, Mr. Couillard will assume the position of
Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of the Corporation.


As of September 1, 2014 Alfred B. Sorensen, current CEO, will step down to
pursue other business ventures, but will remain a director of the Corporation,
thereby continuing to play a role in furthering the Corporation's objectives.


Joseph Iannicelli, Chairman commented, "Richard has served as a director of CSRI
for over 10 years. His significant experience in the upstream energy sector will
allow CSRI to continue to develop its resource base in a manner consistent with
the goals of our shareholders. I would also like to thank Alfred for his
excellent leadership and contribution to CSRI's success and look forward to
continuing to work with him as a member of our board of directors."
