NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Official
Payments Corp., a leading provider of electronic payment solutions,
alerts all business owners, financial officers and accountants that
Tuesday, January 31, 2012 is the
due date for filing and paying taxes associated with the
Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return, Form 941, for the quarter
ending December 31, 2011.
"The end of the quarter is always a hectic time for business
owners as well their accountants and financial departments," said
Alex P. Hart, President and CEO of
Official Payments. "At Official Payments, we're happy to make this
time a little less stressful by helping companies meet IRS
requirements. Businesses have the option of paying any federal
taxes due using a debit card, credit card or one of a number of
other payment options at www.OfficialPayments.com/fed. If they use
a debit or credit card, they can effectively manage cash flow and
earn rewards or points if their card program offers them. "
Form 941 is used to report wages, tips and other compensation
during the quarter, as well as federal income tax withholdings,
Social Security taxes and Medicare taxes. The January 31 date is for payment of fourth-quarter
2011 taxes.
In addition, certain states and localities have tax forms and
payments due on January 31. Employers
should check with their own state and local tax departments for
more information.
