South Carolina Interactive Wins National Award for Payment Processing Services

South Carolina Interactive, LLC has been awarded the prestigious
Best Fit Integrator Award for 2013 by the Center for Digital
Government for its long-term service and partnership in providing
South Carolina governments with payment processing services. This
award recognizes the sustained, exceptional impact that South
Carolina Interactive has had in providing eGovernment solutions to
state and local governments in South Carolina.
South Carolina Interactive (SCI) was nominated for this award by
their public sector partner, the SC Budget and Control Board‘s
Division of State Information Technology (DSIT). “We are very
pleased to have partnered with SCI for payment processing and many
other online services since 2005,” stated Jimmy Earley, DSIT
Director.
SCI’s online payment processing application, Palmetto Pay, was
recognized as playing a key role in enhancing the ability of South
Carolina government to accept online payments from citizens and
businesses on a 24/7 basis. Such payments are processed in a secure
and efficient manner while also providing users with the ability to
conduct transactions conveniently through the use of any mobile
device. Palmetto Pay is used by more than 115 state, municipal and
county government partners to process payments for over 700
services. In the state’s fiscal year 2012-13, citizens and
businesses made over 1 million payments to South Carolina
government entities through Palmetto Pay, totaling more than $143
million.

This is South Carolina Interactive’s second Best Fit Integrator

Government since 2008 for providing excellent eGovernment services
to state agencies and local governments.
