Medisys PLC ("Medisys" or "the Group") announces that during March and April
1999 the Group issued a total of 1,633,751 new ordinary shares in settlement
of liabilities in the books of Lukens Medical Corporation as at the date of
its acquisition by Medisys.

These shares were incorrectly described in announcements dated 16 March 1999
and 28 April 1999 as having been issued as a result of conversions of the
Group's  #15,000,000 Variable Rate Convertible Bonds due 2002 ("the Bonds"). 
The correct details are as follows: 

- On 16 March 1999, the Group announced that it had issued, at a price of
18.8p per share, 1,149,031 new ordinary shares - of these, 5,405 were the
result of conversion of the Bonds and 1,143,626 were issued in settlement of
liabilities totalling US$350,000.

- On 28 April 1999, the Group announced that it had issued, at price of 18.8p
per share, 490,125 new ordinary shares - all of which were issued in
settlement of liabilities totalling US$150,000.
