  APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR, SCOOT (UK)
                     LIMITED
                        
Freepages  Group  plc,  the interactive  consumer
information  service operating  under  the  Scoot
trading  name in the UK, Netherlands and Belgium,
is  pleased to announce the appointment  of  John
Coleman  as  Managing  Director  of  Scoot   (UK)
Limited, with effect from early March 1998.

John,  (40)  joins  the Group  from  Brinks  (UK)
Limited,   the   specialist   logistics   company
handling  high value goods, where he was Managing
Director, responsible for operations in  the  UK,
South Africa and the Middle East.

Prior  to  joining Brinks, he was with management
consultants  McKinsey & Company,  advising  blue-
chip  clients  on  high profile assignments.   He
joined   McKinsey  from  Morgan  Grenfell   Asset
Management,  where he was an investment  analyst.
He  received  an MBA from INSEAD  in  France  and
before that he was a Major in the British Army.

John  will  report  directly to  Robert  Bonnier,
Freepages Chief Executive Officer.

Commenting  on  the appointment, Robert  Bonnier,
said:

"John  brings  to Scoot a range of  complementary
skills and experience.  He will focus himself  on
the  operational management of the UK  activities
and    will   also  add  value  to  our  overseas
subsidiaries."

John  is  beneficiary owner  of  90,000  ordinary
share in Freepages Group plc.
