Following the announcement yesterday changing the Company's year end to 30
September, the Directors of Medisys PLC announce the Company's results for the
year to 30 June 1998 (second interim period).  This announcement appears as a
matter of record only as the results and balance sheet were included in the
Company's Prospectus dated 1 September 1998 which was sent to all shareholders
at that time.

Notes:

1.       Basis of preparation of interim financial information.

       The interim financial information has been prepared on the basis of the
       accounting policies set out in the Group's statutory accounts for the
       year ended 30 June 1997.

       The financial information contained in the interim statement does not
       constitute statutory accounts as defined in section 240 of the
       Companies Act 1985.  The financial information for the full preceding
       year is based on the Group's statutory accounts for the year ended 30
       June 1997.  Those accounts, upon which the auditors issued an
       unqualified opinion, have been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.

2.      The loss per ordinary share of 1.85p is based on the weighted average
        number of shares in issue during the period.  No dividend has been
        declared in respect of this period.

3.       The interim report was approved by the Board of Directors on 22
         December 1998.
