Russia's central bank no longer holds bonds issued by U.S. lenders Fannie May (FNM) and Freddie Mac (FRE), the Interfax news agency cited Chairman Sergei Ignatyev as saying Friday.

"We've sold them, there's nothing left," Ignatyev said. "We didn't lose anything - we made a profit."

The central bank had held as much as $100 billion in Fannie and Freddie debt at one stage, but had been gradually reducing its exposure.
