EU Sues AstraZeneca Over Vaccine Delivery

European Commissioner for Health and Food safety Stella
Kyriakides said in a tweet Monday that the European Commission has
decided together with all member states to bring legal proceedings
against AstraZeneca PLC, citing the commission's priority to ensure
Covid-19 vaccine deliveries.
The move comes after it was reported last week that delivery of
AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine to European Union member states
didn't meet goals as set out in a contract with the pharmaceutical
company.
AstraZeneca didn't immediately respond to a request for comment
on the matter.
