NEW YORK, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today announced that it has launched trading in two new exchange traded funds: UltraShort Lehman 7-10 Year Treasury ProShares (AMEX:PST) and UltraShort Lehman 20+ Year Treasury ProShares (AMEX:TBT) by ProShare Advisors LLC (ProShares). ProShares now offers investors a choice of 62 ETFs, all of which are listed on the Amex. "PST and TBT are the first ETFs to provide investors with exposure to the inverse performance of fixed income indexes." PST seeks daily investment results, before fees, expenses and interest earned on cash and financial instruments, that correspond to twice the inverse of the daily performance of the Lehman Brothers 7-10 Year U.S. Treasury Index. The Index includes all publicly issued, U.S. Treasury securities that have a remaining maturity of between 7 and 10 years and are non-convertible, denominated in U.S. dollars, rated investment grade (at least Baa3 by Moody's Investors Service or BBB- by S&P), fixed rate, and have more than $250 million par outstanding. TBT seeks daily investment results, before fees, expenses and interest earned on cash and financial instruments, that correspond to twice the inverse of the daily performance of the Lehman Brothers 20+ Year U.S. Treasury Index. The Index includes all publicly issued, U.S. Treasury securities that have greater than 20 years and are non-convertible, denominated in U.S. dollars, rated investment grade(at least Baa3 by Moody's Investors Service or BBB- by S&P), fixed rate, and have more than $250 million par outstanding.
