Industrial production from the U.K. and France are due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Statistics Finland releases industrial output and manufacturing new orders for December.

At 2.45 am ET, the French statistical office Insee is slated to release industrial output for December. Output is forecast to rise 0.3 percent on a monthly basis reversing a 0.9 percent decline in November.

At 4.00 am ET, the statistical office Istat releases Italy's industrial production data. Economists forecast output to grow 0.3 percent month-on-month in December, following a 0.5 percent fall in November.

In the meantime, Norway's consumer and producer prices are due. Inflation is seen at 2.4 percent in January versus 2.3 percent in December.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to issue U.K. industrial production figures for December. Output is forecast to remain flat in December after falling 0.7 percent in November.

At 6.00 am ET, Portugal's consumer prices for January and unemployment for the fourth quarter are due.
