today announced that it has signed a contract with Mercator, the
information technology (IT) division of Dubai-based Emirates Group,
to open a Dedicated Development Center (DDC) in Bangalore, India.
Working with Covansys, Mercator's new DDC will offer its travel and
transportation industry clients scalable IT services including
product development, applications development and maintenance,
testing services, technology consulting and project management
across a full range of technologies such as Java, Oracle
application and data warehousing, Dot Net, ERP and other
specialized niche technologies. The DDC will help fuel Emirates
Group's business expansion plans and strengthen Mercator's existing
development capabilities and position as a leading IT solution
