ATLANTA, Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael J.
Hoberman has been named senior vice president of business
development for Broadspire, a Crawford Company and leading
third party administrator of workers compensation claims, liability
claims and medical management services.
Hoberman rejoins Broadspire after serving as senior vice
president of business development and client services for a major
U.S.-based third party administrator. In addition to sales and
account management, he also was responsible for the analytics team
and global TPA services in that role. He held several executive
sales and account management positions at Broadspire and its
predecessor organization from 2000 to 2006.
"Among Mike's many accomplishments was the vital role he played
to develop and launch Broadspire as an independent third party
administrator," said Danielle
Lisenbey, president and chief executive officer of
Broadspire. "He has been highly successful in building
relationships and developing business in our industry, and we are
delighted to welcome him back to our organization."
In his new role, Hoberman will be based in Fairfield, N.J., and report to Emanuel V. Lauria, executive vice president of
global client and business development for Crawford & Company
(NYSE: CRDA; CRDB), the world's largest independent provider of
claims management solutions, and Lisenbey. Broadspire's current
sales and marketing organization will report to him.
"Mike is a skilled executive who has proven his ability to
create sound strategies and execute on them to meet client needs
and increase revenue," Lauria said. "I am looking forward to
working with him to continue to grow Broadspire's business."
Hoberman began his nearly 30-year career in the insurance
industry as a field representative and claims supervisor handling
workers compensation, liability and property claims for Liberty
Mutual, and later joined Signet Reinsurance Co. as a claims
analyst.
He next spent 10 years at Reliance National, first as a claims
account manager and assistant vice president and then as vice
president of account management and managing vice president of
several divisions. In that position, he was instrumental in
expanding risk management and specialty business in the northeast,
Midwest and western regions.
Hoberman holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from
the University of Maryland and earned
the CPCU designation from the Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriters Society.
