CLARCOR Inc. (NYSE: CLC) has purchased one of its suppliers of filtration media, TransWeb, LLC (“Transweb”). Founded in 1996 and based in Vineland, New Jersey, Transweb is a manufacturer and supplier of media used in a variety of end-market applications, including respirators and heating, ventilation and air conditioning filters. The terms of the transaction, which closed on December 29, 2010, have not been publicly disclosed.

We have been interested in taking an ownership position in Transweb for some time, and were grateful when the opportunity to do so on attractive terms presented itself.”

CLARCOR is based in Franklin, Tennessee and is a diversified marketer and manufacturer of mobile, industrial and environmental filtration products and consumer and industrial packaging products sold in domestic and international markets. Common shares of the Company are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CLC.
