Victory Capital Announces Expanded Relationship with Nasdaq
04 Juni 2018 - 3:00PM
Victory Capital (NASDAQ:VCTR) today announced that Nasdaq will
begin serving as the calculator, publisher and administrator for
its proprietary CEMP indexes, which are the benchmarks for the
firm’s volatility-weighted VictoryShares ETFs.
The change will be effective on June 18, 2018,
for the 12 domestic and international equity indexes, and in
mid-September for the two emerging market equity indexes. All of
the CEMP volatility weighted indexes will be rebranded “Nasdaq
Victory Volatility Weighted Indexes” as of June 18, 2018. Nasdaq
already calculates and publishes the Nasdaq Victory indexes for the
VictoryShares Multi-Factor Minimum Volatility and Dividend Growth
ETF offerings.
“The transition to Nasdaq is an important step
in the evolution of our Solutions Platform and, more specifically,
our volatility weighted indexes, which have more than $3.1 billion
tracking them as of March 31, 2018,” said Mannik Dhillon, CFA,
President of VictoryShares and Solutions. “We are committed to
continuously improving and advancing client outcomes, and we are
excited to have a globally recognized index provider assume
administration of our volatility weighted indexes. Nasdaq offers
objectivity in the rules-based aspect of our products, and we are
looking forward to the benefits the expanded partnership delivers
for our clients.”
It is important to note that the track record
and the methodology of the indexes and VictoryShares ETFs will not
change. In addition, the corresponding ETF names and tickers also
remain the same. However, to coincide with the transition to
Nasdaq, the names and tickers of the CEMP indexes are being
updated.
“Victory Capital has demonstrated a new way of
thinking through its differentiated model as it has expanded its
ETF platform, VictoryShares, and delivered independent
strategies to investors,” said Dave Gedeon, Head of Index Research
and Development at Nasdaq’s Global Information Services. “Our index
design and management capabilities align with VictoryShares, and we
are pleased to welcome their entire suite of indexes to
Nasdaq.”
