DMV Commissioner Pat Reed announced today that the West Virginia
Division of Motor Vehicles is expanding their kiosk program
availability with two more locations-the Barboursville Kroger on
Route 60, and the Scott Depot Kroger on Great Teays Boulevard.
In two separate ribbon-cutting ceremonies, one at each location,
Commissioner Reed and staff from DMV Headquarters, as well as West
Virginia Interactive, local business owners, members of the Chamber
of Commerce, and legislative representatives, expressed their
appreciation to both Kroger for their partnership, and Intellectual
Technology, Inc., for providing the DMV NOW kiosks. Additionally,
Commissioner Reed explained how the kiosks benefit customers by
helping them “Skip the Line” at local DMV Regional Offices by
performing some of DMV’s most popular transactions quickly and
efficiently.
“These kiosks will help you renew your driver’s license and
vehicle registration in just minutes,” she said, while
reminding customers to bring their current tax receipt and vehicle
registration card for the vehicle renewal service. Driver’s license
renewal requires the current driver’s license.
According to Reed, “Customers that have any changes to their
license or registration will need to visit their local DMV Regional
Office; however, if no changes are needed, we’d love to have you
come by the kiosk and try it out!”
Other locations across the state include:
- The Little General in
Barboursville
- Kroger at Beckley Crossing in
Beckley
- Sheetz on Eisenhower Drive in
Beckley
- Kanawha City DMV Regional Office
- Martinsburg DMV Regional Office
- Kroger on Emily Drive in
Clarksburg
- Sheetz on Stoneybrook Road in
Clarksburg
- Sheetz in Star City on Monongahela
Blvd
- Sheetz in Wheeling on National
Road
DMV will continue to add services to the kiosks, including an
additional opening soon at the Kroger’s in Morgantown on Suncrest
Town Centre Dr, and the online services portal, to decrease wait
times in the Regional Offices, and provide the best customer
service to those who have more difficult or time-consuming
transactions.
The kiosk program was developed at no cost to West Virginia
taxpayers and was created by the West Virginia Division of Motor
Vehicles in partnership with WV.gov. For more information, please
