AstraZeneca's Nonexecutive Chairman Leif Johansson to Retire in 2023

AstraZeneca PLC said Tuesday that Nonexecutive Chairman Leif
Johansson will retire from the board at the company's annual
general meeting in 2023.
The Anglo-Swedish pharma major said that Mr. Johansson will seek
re-election at the annual general meeting in April, and will
continue as chairman for another year to facilitate the
transition.
The company has already started the search for a new chairman
and it is proceeding well, it added.
Mr. Johansson was elected for the first time in April 2012.
Shares at 1108 GMT were down 42.0 pence, or 0.4%, at 9,111.0
pence.
