industries to acquire and convert analog data into digital format
then compute, manipulate, store, and transmit that data, and
provide the processed data back to the real world as analog
control, display, or sound.
“Analog Devices’ pioneering advancements in the converter space
have enabled some of the world’s most important milestones in
digital video, audio, military defense and medical imaging,” said
Karen Bartleson, president and CEO, IEEE. “It was an honor to
present the award to Mr. Stata, a technology industry icon whose
vision and leadership have helped ADI to create an enviable track
record in the semiconductor industry.”
“Our focus and commitment to solving complex challenges of our
customers and taking risks has allowed us to lead the converter
industry for more than half a century,” said Ray Stata, Co-founder
and Chairman of the Board, Analog Devices. “Our history of
developing innovative products and disruptive technologies has
resulted from our collaborative approach with both academic
institutions and business, and we are proud to receive this honor
