Medisys  PLC  announces that it has  issued  238,918  new
ordinary  shares of 1p each. 118,918 new ordinary  shares
arose from the exercise of its #15,000,000 Variable  Rate
Convertible Bonds due 2002 (the "Bonds") and 120,000  new
ordinary  shares  arose  from the  exercise  of  Warrants
attached to the Bonds (the "Warrants").

Application has been made for these ordinary shares to be
admitted  to  trading  on AIM and  it  is  expected  that
dealings will commence on Thursday 20 April 2000.
