Excel Airways Group plc ("the Company")

The Company announces that it received notification today that Libra Holidays
Group Limited ("LHG") sold yesterday 50,000 ordinary shares at 89p per ordinary
share in order to facilitate early dealings in the Company's shares.


As a result, LHG now has a notifiable interest in 78,430,000 ordinary shares
representing approximately 81.7 per cent. of the entire issued share capital of
the Company.
