The Singapore dollar edged higher to 5.5008 against the Hong Kong currency during early Asian deals on Wednesday. This set a 1-year high for the pair. If the Singapore currency gains further, 5.564 is seen as the next target level. The pair closed Tuesday's North American session at 5.4881.
