The Chinese yuan edged higher against the European currency during early Asian deals on Monday. At 9:35 pm ET, the yuan climbed to 10.0270 against the euro, compared to Friday's closing value of 10.0534. If the Chinese currency gains further, 9.991 is seen as the next target level.

The People's Bank of China has set today's central parity rate for the euro-yuan pair at 10.0368.
