Its fleet consists of various railcars, such as intermodal railcars used to transport standard containers used for maritime transport or swap bodies; flatbed railcars used to transport semi-trailers; car-carrying railcars, used to transport automobiles or large-capacity vehicles, such as pickup trucks by rail; coil cars, which are specially designed to transport large coils of steel, cables, wires, and other similar coiled materials; sliding-door cars; and hopper and powder cars used to transport bulk materials. The company is also involved in construction and sale of modular buildings; leasing and related services; railcar maintenance; and asset management; as well as sale of components used in railcars. As of December 31, 2025, the company owned and managed a container fleet of 305,135 twenty-foot equivalent units. Touax SCA was founded in 1853 and is headquartered in La Défense, France.
