The company was formerly known as Metallica Metals Corp. and changed its name to Quebec Rare Earth Elements Corp. in November 2023. It has a option agreement to acquire the Moose REE Project, a 7km diameter circular magnetic anomaly with a central magnetic core of 2 km in diameter located in Quebec.
