in support of Calico and its Grassy Mountain Project as
follows:
"NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the
Malheur County Court, that the
Malheur County Court supports
Calico Resources in its work on the Grassy Mountain gold mining
project as it works toward diversifying Malheur County's economic base, creates jobs
and engages in the permitting process of DOGAMI and other
stakeholders."
In so doing, the Malheur County Court reiterated "the
long-standing policy of the State of
Oregon, which is set out, in part, as follows: "It is the
policy of the State of Oregon to
recognize the important and essential contribution that the
extraction of minerals makes to the economic well-being of the
state and the nation………. "ORS 571.760"".
