French IT services group Capgemini SA (CAP.FR) Monday said the London Metropolitan Police Service has extended its contract with Capgemini's UK subsidiary until December 2015.

MAIN FACTS:

- The contract extension covers the three-year period from 2012 to 2015 and renews the existing seven-year IT support contract between the two groups, signed in 2005.

- The contract is expected to provide an estimated GBP43 million savings in supporting the day-to-day work of London's 55,000 police officers, staff and community support officers
