French information technology services company Capgemini SA (CAP.FR) Wednesday said it has acquired all of U.K.-based Strategic Systems Solutions to boost its presence in the capital markets sector.

Capgemini, which prior to the buy already owned 49% of Strategic Systems Solutions, said the acquisition will also strengthen the group's presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Strategic Systems Solutions is an IT services and business process outsourcing firm focused on the financial services industry. It employs around 670 people in the U.K., U.S., Singapore, China and the Philippines, Capgemini said in a statement.

No financial details of the deal were provided.
