Steve Anderson Joins Cardinal State Bank as Senior Vice President
and Business Banking Manager Long-time Durham banker to lead

26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Steve Anderson has joined Cardinal
State Bank (NASDAQ:CSNC) as senior vice president and business
banking manager, announced John W. Mallard, Jr., president and CEO
for Cardinal State Bank. "We are fortunate to welcome someone with
such outstanding credentials to our banking team," said Mallard.
"Steve's exceptional reputation in commercial lending in Durham, as
well as his strong leadership and customer relationship skills,
will be invaluable to Cardinal State Bank." Anderson has been in
banking for nearly 30 years. Before joining Cardinal State Bank, he
was senior vice president and manager of Durham Commercial Lending
for the former Central Carolina Bank (now SunTrust), where he had
also served as a senior commercial loan officer. Prior to joining
CCB, he worked as a vice president of corporate banking, manager of
business and private banking, and corporate banking officer for
Wachovia Bank in Durham. A graduate of East Carolina University,
Anderson is a graduate of both the Mid-Management and Advanced
Management programs of the North Carolina School of Banking. He
received a Foundation of Banking diploma from the American
Institute of Banking and attended the National Personnel School and
Bank Trainers School offered by the American Banker's Association.
Outside of banking, Anderson holds a number of community positions.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Durham Chamber of
Commerce, a member of the board of directors of the Duke University
Blue Devil Club, president of Willowhaven Country Club, and a past
board member of the Central Carolina Chapter of the American Red
Cross. He is a member of the Durham Citizens Safety Committee, a
campaign volunteer for United Way, and a committee leader for Boy
Scouts of America Troup 412. He and his family live in Durham.
