MID-STATES PLC (the "Company") 
Update on current business 
The Board is pleased to announce that in the first half of the financial year 
ended 30 June 2010 the Company has seen continued progress in its air 
disinfection business. The Board believes that the 
 new business strategy 
adopted last year, its strengthened management team and the heightened awareness 
of viral threats (including swine 'flu), through national and international 
press coverage, have been significant factors in this progress. 
 
 
Orders received in the six months ended 31 December 2009 for the Company's AD 
air disinfection device totalled 679. These included larger orders from 
distributors in Spain, the Middle East and Norway 
together with others which 
were predominantly relatively low volume sales to potential new distributors as 
the Company seeks to establish sales channels in new markets, both in the UK and 
internationally. The Company is presently working with or in discussions with 25 
distributors in different market sectors and territories around the world. In 
addition, there are now over 450 AD in use at UK hospitals, successfully and 
demonstrably playing a key role in the ongoing fight against viral and bacterial 
pathogens. 
 
 
Revenue for the first half is expected to be close to GBP0.2 million and at 31 
December 2009 cash at bank 
was GBP0.94 million. 
 
 
The Company expects to publish its Interim Financial Statements for the six 
months ended 31 December 
2009 towards the end of March and 
further information on trading will be provided at this time.

continued strategy of expanding into non-healthcare markets and internationally 
should bring further growth as we progress through the remainder of the
