  GRIFFIN ANNOUNCES START OF "DRY COMMISSIONING" ON SCHEDULE AT THE CAIJIAYING
                                  MINE, CHINA

Griffin Mining Limited ("Griffin or the "Company") is extremely pleased to
announce that pursuant to the announcement made by the Company on 5th April
2005, dry commissioning of the Caijiaying plant has now commenced on schedule.
