                              Exercise of Warrants

Griffin Mining Limited ("Griffin" or the "Company") has been notified that RAB
UK Fund Limited and HFR HE Europe Fundamental Master Trust have exercised
warrants respectively over 775,000 and 225,000 new ordinary shares in Griffin at
an exercise price of 20 pence per share to raise #200,000 for the company.
These warrants were granted as part of arrangements for an equity placing in
August 2003.

Application ahs today been made for eth new ordinary shares issued on the
exercise of the aforementioned warrants to be admitted to trading on AIM, which
is expected to occur on 4 February 2005.  Following the issue of these new
ordinary shares there will be 178,327,731 Griffin ordinary shares in issue.
