January, 2002 of 1,300,000 Ordinary shares in the Company, Aberdeen Preferred
Income Trust PLC is now interested in 6,300,000 Ordinary shares in the Company
which represents 8.40% of the total issued share capital of that class.

The total number of Ordinary Shares now managed by Aberdeen and its associated
companies is 19,739,000 representing 26.32% of the issued share capital of that
class.
