HOLDING IN COMPANY

The Company was informed on 1 August 2001 by Aberdeen Asset Managers ("AAM")
that on 31 July 2001:

AAM sold 6,114,232 ordinary income shares of 1p each in the Company ("Income
Shares") on behalf of Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust Plc ("APIT"). APIT now
holds nil Income Shares.

AAM sold 350,000 Income Shares on behalf of discretionary funds under
management.

AAM purchased 6,464,232 Income Shares on behalf of Real Estate Opportunities
Limited ("REO"). REO now holds 6,464,232 Income Shares, representing 11.58% of
the issued shares of that class.

The total number of Income Shares managed by AAM remains 16,123,052 Income
Shares, representing 28.89% of the issued shares of that class.
