                         HL Income & Growth Trust plc



The Company has today been informed that Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust plc
is now interested in 7,600,000 Ordinary 25p shares in the Company
(representing 17.28% of the issued share capital) and that Aberdeen High
Income Trust plc and Technology & Income Trust Ltd no longer hold any Ordinary
25p shares in the Company.



As a result of the above, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited remain interested in
11,500,000 Ordinary 25p shares in the Company, representing 26.15% of the
issued share capital.
