DARTMOOR INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

The company has today been informed that Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust PLC
purchased 4,100,000 ordinary 10p shares, on 19 December 2000. They now have a
holding of 6,915,000 ordinary 10p shares (representing 7.79% of the issued
class of capital). 

The company has also been informed today that The American Monthly Income
Trust Limited has sold 4,100,000 ordinary 10p shares, on 19 December 2000. As
a result, they no longer have an interest in the company's ordinary 10p
shares.

As a result of the above, the total number of ordinary 10p shares held by
Aberdeen Asset Managers remains as 24,742,016, (representing 27.88% of the
issued class of capital).
