                        DARTMOOR INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

The Company has today been informed by Aberdeen Asset Managers that they sold
850,000 ordinary 10p shares on behalf of Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust plc
and 850,000 ordinary 10p shares on behalf of Leveraged Income Fund Limited on
4 June 2001.     Aberdeen Asset Managers now have an interest in 22,461,016
ordinary 10p shares, representing 23.89% of the issued share capital. The
breakdown of the holding is as follows:



Aberdeen Convertible Income Trust plc: 1,500,000 (representing 1.60%)

Danae Investment Trust plc: 1,010,000 (representing 1.07%)

Jove Investment Trust plc: 1,210,424 (representing 1.29%)

Broadgate Investment Trust plc: 1,000,000 (representing 1.06%)

Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust plc: 6,065,000 (representing 6.45%)

Enhanced Zero Investment Trust plc: 1,484,196 (representing 1.58%)

St David's Investment Trust plc: 2,075,000 (representing 2.21%)
