JOHNSON FRY INCOME & GROWTH TRUST PLC

The Company has today been notified of the following interests in the ordinary
shares of 25p of discretionary funds under the management of Aberdeen Asset
Managers Limited:

Aberdeen High Income Trust has an interest in 3,000,000 ordinary shares of 25p
each, representing 3.85% of the issued share capital.

Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust Plc has an interest in 7,500,000 ordinary
shares of 25p each, representing 9.62% of the issued share capital.

Second St Davids Investment Trust Plc has an interest in 2,500,000 ordinary
shares of 25p each, representing 3.20% of the issued share capital.

Technology & Income Trust Limited has an interest in 2,000,000 ordinary shares
of 25p each, representing 2.56% of the issued share capital.

Leveraged Income Fund Limited has an interest in 7,500,000 ordinary shares of
25p each, representing 9.62% of the issued share capital.

Fund of Investment Trusts Unit Trust has an interest in 500,000 ordinary
shares of 25p each, representing 0.64% of the issued share capital.

As a result of the above, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited and its associated
companies now has an aggregate interest in 23,000,000 ordinary shares of 25p
each, representing 29.49% of the issued class of capital.
