3,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares on 4 February 2000 on behalf of the Aberdeen
Preferred Income Trust Plc.

Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust Plc now holds 3,000,000 Ordinary 10p Shares,
representing 15.42% of the issued class of capital,(previously 0.00%).

The total number of Ordinary 10p Shares managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers
Limited and its associated companies is 4,900,000,representing 25.19% of the
issued share capital of that class (previously 9.77%).
