Suzuki Motor Corp. (7269.TO) said Tuesday that it had receivables totaling Y29.4 billion from its joint venture with General Motors Corp. and other GM group companies as of last Wednesday.

The maker of small cars said in a release that the figure includes Y200 million that is supposed to be paid by a 50:50 joint auto production venture in Canada, and Y5.8 billion for production under GM group's Opel brand.

Apart from the receivables, Suzuki also has a debt guarantee of Y38.1 billion for the joint venture.

The car maker said it will book provisions if needed.

Suzuki said in a separate statement that it is now gathering information regarding possible impact from GM's court protection filing, but added that it expects any impact to be limited.
