PR Newswire (US)
NEW YORK, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sibling Entertainment
Group Holdings, Inc. (OTC:SIBE) (BULLETIN BOARD: SIBE) ["Sibling
Holdings"] announced the critically acclaimed musical HATS!
produced by Dick Foster Productions, Inc. ["DFP"] in association
with Sibling Theatricals, Inc. ["Sibling Theatricals"], a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Sibling Entertainment Group, Inc., opens
at Harrah's Las Vegas on January 12, 2008. Sibling Entertainment
Group, Inc. is the company with which Sibling Holdings has
previously signed an Agreement of Acquisition and Plan of
Reorganization, the closing of which is currently pending. (See
"Note to Editor" below for an explanation of Sibling Holdings
relationship to Sibling Entertainment Group, Inc. and Sibling
Theatricals). "We are elated to once again present our show in a
Harrah's venue," said Mitchell Maxwell, President and CEO of
Sibling Holdings. "We received fantastic audience response when we
opened HATS! at Harrah's New Orleans in January 2007." "Harrah's
Las Vegas is their flagship venue. We're excited that Harrah's has
partnered with us to present HATS! in Las Vegas. Working together,
these two great entertainment companies will ensure that HATS! has
a long, healthy run at Harrah's Las Vegas," he said. "David
Gravatt, DFP COO, and his entire team has done a fabulous job
casting this show! When we entered into our agreement to purchase
the majority of Dick Foster Productions, Inc., stock in February
2007, it was for this very reason," Maxwell said. "Dick Foster and
his team have great relationships with the entire Harrah's
organization. This production of HATS! allows DFP to showcase their
ability to cast and direct a show, design and create fabulous
costumes, and to design and create spectacular sets," he said.
Friendship, fun and fabulousness meet in HATS! This witty stage
show chronicles one woman's anxiety over her impending fiftieth
birthday and how she chooses to embrace this landmark event with
the support of her friends. Already a smash hit with audiences and
critics across the country, the 75- minute comedic musical
production has been designed by DFP with Las Vegas flair. HATS!
features seven dynamic and compelling women whose unique approach
to celebrating life appeals to audiences of all ages. The show
centers around Maryanne and the wild cast of characters who
accompany her on her journey toward her 50th birthday. The zany and
unpredictable Ruby introduces Maryanne to the outrageous Contessa
Confessa; to the bold and spirited Duchess DeLovely; to the fast
talking, corporate executive Baroness; to the multi- talented Dame
who can provide "tech support" to anyone 24/7; and finally to
Maryanne's mother, Lady, who is filled with optimism and enthusiasm
for her daughter. Outrageous costumes, scenic design, clever
choreography and memorable music make HATS! a truly unique
production. HATS! features a score of original songs by some of
Broadway's most celebrated songwriters, including three-time Tony
Award-winner Doug Besterman, Tony-nominated lyricist Susan
Birkenhead, Tony-nominated composer-lyrist Carol Hall,
Tony-nominated composer and three- time Academy Award nominee Henry
Krieger, Grammy(R) Award-winners Melissa Manchester and Pam Tillis,
Golden Globe-winner Amanda McBroom as well as Kathie Lee Gifford,
Michele Brourman, Pat Bunch, Gretchen Cryer, Anthony Dodge, Sharon
Vaughn, Beth Falcone, David Friedman, David Goldsmith and Stephen
Lawrence. HATS! premiered in Denver in October 2006, opened in
January 2007, at Harrah's New Orleans Casino Hotel and premiered in
Chicago at the Royal George Theatre on April 29, 2007, to rave
reviews. The Chicago Tribune says HATS! is "a music-and-comedy
celebration ... .It will make a lot of people feel empowered. It
does so with integrity, craft and heart." The Denver Post says
"That's a real audience emitting real belly laughs and crying real
tears. I have never seen an audience so affected in the course of
watching theater." Finally, Variety raves "This is a feel-good show
that's really about feeling good." HATS! is inspired by the
fun-loving lifestyle encouraged by the Red Hat Society. According
to founder Sue Ellen Cooper, the Red Hat Society (RHS) is a
worldwide organization with over 30,000 chapters in all 50 states
plus 25 countries offering fun, community and empowerment for
passionate, likeminded women who believe in the joys of sisterhood
at any age. With distinctive red hats and purple outfits, RHS
members can be found everywhere. The organization is celebrating
its 10th anniversary in 2008. For more information on the Red Hat
