Industry by Acquiring Progressive Music Label 'ProgRock Records'
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WMD Holdings Group,
Inc. (OTC:WMDH) has completed its acquisition of ProgRock Records
on schedule in a cash and stock transaction. ProgRock Records had
revenues for 2003 of approximately $200,000. The company's
distribution lines span the globe with the bulk of their
distribution in the US and Europe. ProgRock Records currently has
over 25 bands and artists on its roster and is regularly signing
new talent. WMD's i2 Recording studio (http://www.i2recording.com/)
has been hosting talent from the US and Canada for appearances on
its upcoming releases. After work on Chain's new CD "chain.exe" had
to be put on hold for the production of the critically acclaimed
"Frameshift" featuring Dream Theater's James LaBrie, i2 Recording's
producer Henning Pauly is close to finishing the follow up album.
The new CD offers a more impressive progressive metal experience
and features some of the best progressive rock talent in the world.
Among the musicians are Michael Sadler, lead singer from Saga
(http://www.saga-world.com/) and Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve
Vai, Mullmuzzler, Beer for Dolphins, etc. --
http://www.keneally.com/) who lends his voice and guitar skills to
the last track on the album. Sadler is singing on an already highly
praised cover version of Saga's own "Hot to Cold" together with
Chain's lead singer Matt Cash and Maya Haddi, who will also be
singing together with Sadler on the upcoming double CD rock opera
"Babysteps" to be released in the fall. The standout track on
"chain.exe" is the 38 minute epic "Cities," which will also
features vocals by Michael Sadler and a short guest appearance by
Trans Siberian Orchestra's Jody Ashworth
(http://www.jodyashworth.com/). For more information on upcoming

label to market and distribute the projects we are turning out of
our studio is a huge step forward for the growth of our
corporation," said Michael Donlon, President of WMD. "In addition,
we are very fortunate that the label's founder, Shawn Gordon, has
agreed to head this new division. Shawn's expertise and
entrepreneurial spirit will be a great asset to our team and we are
excited to have him on board." About ProgRock Records ProgRock
